There once was a sweet little dog named Max. He had fluffy fur, big floppy ears, and a wagging tail. Max lived with a family that loved him very much. He spent his days playing fetch in the park, snuggling with his humans, and begging for treats.
One day, Max saw a squirrel run up a tree in the park. He chased after it, barking happily. But as he ran, he didn't see the big mud puddle in his way. SPLASH! Max's paws went flying and he landed with a muddy thud.
The family laughed at the sight of Max covered in mud. They quickly took him home and gave him a bath. Max didn't mind the bath too much, because he knew it meant he would be clean and fluffy again.
After his bath, Max ran to the kitchen to see if there were any treats. He found a bowl of doggy biscuits and gobbled them up. Then he curled up on the couch for a nice nap.
