Jack and his luck
Once upon a time, there was a young man named Jack who lived in a small village in the countryside. Jack was not a particularly skilled or talented person, but he always considered himself to be very lucky. He believed that no matter what situation he found himself in, luck would always be on his side.
One day, Jack decided to leave the village and see the world. He packed a bag with a few belongings and set off on his journey. As he walked along the road, he encountered all kinds of people and encountered many different challenges.
Despite the many obstacles he faced, Jack remained confident that his luck would see him through. And indeed, it seemed as though luck was always on his side. Whenever he needed food, he found a bountiful feast waiting for him just around the corner. Whenever he needed shelter, he found a cozy inn or a friendly farmer willing to take him in.
As Jack traveled further and further from home, he became more and more convinced that he was truly the luckiest person in the world. He began to brag about his good fortune to anyone who would listen, and soon he had a reputation as a man who was always lucky.
One day, Jack came upon a group of bandits who were blocking the road. They demanded that he hand over all of his money, but Jack refused. "I am a lucky man," he boasted. "I have no need for money, for luck is always on my side."
The bandits laughed and attacked Jack. They beat him mercilessly and left him for dead by the side of the road. As he lay there, bruised and battered, Jack realized that his luck had finally run out. He had been so confident in his own luck that he had let his guard down and paid the price.
From that day on, Jack learned to be more careful and to rely on his own skills and wits rather than just luck. He realized that luck alone was not enough to see him through life's challenges, and that sometimes the only way to succeed was to work hard and make his own luck. The end.
